✎ chapterfic - hetalia/ebz - it was not meant that we should voyage far [8/?]

Title: It was not meant that we should voyage far. [8/?]
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia/Echo Bazaar
Characters: Every nation ever at one point or another. This part: Australia, England, Hong Kong, Northern Ireland, Belgium.
Rating: PG-13 for this chapter.
Summary: An Echo Bazaar crossover AU. Fallen London: once capital of the British Empire, now home of the Bazaar, a mile underground and a boat ride away from Hell itself. Deep. Dark. Expensive. Marvellous. Here you can find everything from immortality, to unnervingly good mushroom wine.

Or so the stories go.

But stories can rarely be trusted, and all the wildest stories in the world couldn’t have prepared Alfred and Matthew Jones for what they would find when they descended into the fallen city on a journey that would lead them right into the heart of a rebellion against the Masters of the Bazaar themselves…
Word Count: This part: 2879
Notes: Once again, the continuation of the long haul that started as my NaNo project for last year. :'> The title is from an HP Lovecraft quote, “We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.”
Warnings: General warnings: A crossover with a (very addictive) online game, a lot of speculation and elaboration on my part on the universe of that game, human!AU, the occasional bit of 1800s sensibilities, and later on in the fic, a lot of OCs. :’> This chapter: NaNo quality writing, a non-canon Australia and slightly choppy divisions between chapters, but I couldn’t work out a better way to slice things up.

Title: It was not meant that we should voyage far. [6/?]
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia/Echo Bazaar
Characters: Every nation ever at one point or another. This part: Ireland, America, Canada, England, Northern Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia, Belgium, and a few random extras.
Rating: PG-13 for this chapter.

Word Count: This part: 4298.
Notes: BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, I should note that the Australia I write is a female OC belonging to a friend of mine, who made her up before we had any idea there was a canon one. I’ve grown too attached to writing her to really give her up, so if you have problems with a non-canon Aussie, feel free to stop reading here, I don’t mind. ^^; A-anyway! As always, the continuation of the long haul that started as my NaNo project for last year. :'> The title is from an HP Lovecraft quote, “We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.” Also, good grief, the Isles Siblings actually vaguely get on in this AU. Madness, I tell you.
Warnings: General warnings: A crossover with a (very addictive) online game, a lot of speculation and elaboration on my part on the universe of that game, human!AU, the occasional bit of 1800s sensibilities, and later on in the fic, a lot of OCs. :’> This chapter: NaNo quality writing, some OCs, and a non-canon Australia.

✎ fanfic - hetalia - the curious bewitchment of luís valdez [part 2]

Title: The curious bewitchment of Luís Valdez [2/2]
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Characters: Portugal [OC], England, Ireland [[livejournal.com profile] starsandauras’s OC], Australia [[livejournal.com profile] unspeakingly’s OC], America, ], Canada, Northern Ireland [[livejournal.com profile] later_days’s OC], Spain, Wales [[livejournal.com profile] kyahryorin’s OC], Scotland [[livejournal.com profile] eats_typos’s OC]. Also Ligeia the stalker!mermaid.
Pairing?: England/Portugal, Ligeia the stalker mermaid → Portugal
Rating: PG-13 for language and stalker mermaids trying to seduce countries.
Summary: During the Age of Sail, Portugal had an otherworldly admirer following him around that only the Isles siblings could see. Otherworldly as in, a mermaid. Yeah, you heard me. Otherworldly cat-fights ensue while England, Ireland and Wales have to do their best to save poor Port’s immortal soul.
Timeframe Mostly the 16th century, with some switches to 2010. ^^
Word Count: 15244 with footnotes, all told; 10794 in this part.
Notes: This fic is proof that I fully embrace the Lighter and Softer trope in this fandom, sob. Ligeia was generously named by Mini [livejournal.com profile] misheard, who informs me “It means "clear-voiced, shrill, whistling". Traditionally the name of one of the Sirens, so I guess there could be confusion, but it's also a regular Greek name from what I understand.” I thought it was perfect myself, so here we are. My thanks to go her for helping! <3
Warnings: Hetalia OCs, bad accents, England being jealous, the nasty side of the fae, some questionable uses of magic, and utter crack once again.

✎ fanfic - hetalia - the high sea for which no compass has yet been invented

Title: the high sea for which no compass has yet been invented
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Characters: /DEEP BREATH/ England, Portugal [OC], Ireland [[livejournal.com profile] starsandauras’s OC], Australia [[livejournal.com profile] unspeakingly’s OC], Prussia, France, Wales [[livejournal.com profile] kyahryorin’s OC], Spain, Romano, Scotland [[livejournal.com profile] eats_typos’s OC], America, Sealand, Canada, Italy, Germany, Northern Ireland [[livejournal.com profile] later_days’s OC], GOD, JUST EVERY NATION EVER AT SOME POINT OR ANOTHER. Other people’s OCs are used with varying degrees of permission but with no less love or gratitude. <3
Pairing?: England/Portugal with a bit of background Spain/Romano.
Rating: PG for a bit of language.
Summary: They’d wanted something quiet. Well, that was never going to go according to plan. Especially when Ireland’s got her heart set on playing the role of the weathered old sea captain.
Timeframe … I do not even know, lmfao. 2010 OR 2011.
Word Count: 5105
Notes: This is TV Tropes’s fault. God damn you, Married At Sea trope, for being perfect for these two. Also god damn you people on Plurk for trying to push me into writing marriage!fic for these two ever since That One Bit Of Legislation got passed. :| I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY, Y’BUGGERS. Also a lot of the texts were lifted directly from people’s contributions on Plurk, and for that I thank them and apologise. <3

… oh yeah, and for those curious, the title is from a quote by Heinrich Heine: “Here's to matrimony, the high sea for which no compass has yet been invented!”
Warnings: A clusterscrew of Hetalia OCs, far too much crack in one fic to be legal, a buttload of clichedness and sap, Ireland in a speedboat and sunglasses, and the finer workings of Australia’s text message inbox.

✎ fanfic - hetalia - this is all ichi's fault

Title: the dysfunctional hetalia family fic that is completely ichi's fault
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Characters: FAR TOO MANY. England, America, Sealand, Australia [[livejournal.com profile] unspeakingly's OC], Portugal [OC], Jamaica [OC], Brazil [OC]; Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, East Timor and the majority of the former British and Portuguese Empires are mentioned in some way.
Pairing?: None, although feel free to see a bit of England/Portugal in there if you squint
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It's Australia's birthday again, and this time England is determined not to get her present to her late. Hilarity and chaos ensues.
Timeframe: 2010
Word Count: 3743
Notes: THIS IS ALL ICHI'S FAULT. We were discussing her OC Australia and my England on the shipping meme on adddictions (as you do) and she said she loved the idea of some weird dysfunction junction made up of Portugal/England + America + Canada + Australia, and then... this happened. :|b
Warnings: OCs, if you don't like that sort of thing? I apologise in advance to the Portuguese and Jamaicans who may read this and wonder what the hell I've done with their countries. Mea Culpa.
